Company Profile

We are Tomuraisha Co., Ltd., the operator of SANKOTSUYAMA. We are a subsidiary of the TTMA Group, a health-related company. We originally started out by running a traditional massage school and a massage salon. We then expanded to proposing ways to enhance natural healing, such as forest bathing and meditation, and gradually expanded into outdoor activities like camping and glamping. Through these efforts, we have come to own unused forest land across the country. Sankotsuyama has also been certified as a high-quality scattering business by the PRIMITIVE REVITALIZATION AGENCY (PRA), so you can use our services with peace of mind. In recent years, social trends and lifestyle changes have led to a shift in attitudes toward graves, and in 2023, we began proposing natural burials using forest land for scattering ashes. Our research has revealed that scattering of ashes into natural burials is not a passing fad in Japan, but a major global trend, regardless of religion. We are confident that scattering of ashes into natural burials will become more commonplace in the future. Looking around me, I see many relatives in need. Some families are aging and unable to manage their graves, while others, without heirs, are concerned about their future maintenance. I understand the reluctance to lose their graves and to dispose of them at sea. If the ashes are scattered in the mountains, there will be no need to maintain them. If the entire mountain can be considered a sacred object, there will always be something to connect the consciousness of the deceased. While scattering of ashes into natural burials is not a "grave" in the legal sense, we believe it is a way to cherish and connect the memory of the deceased without imposing future burdens. At Scattered Ashes Mountain, we are committed to providing a convenient scattering of ashes into natural burial services, without aligning with any particular religion or sect. I am still a newcomer and have launched this website while still inexperienced, but if you have any requests, I would be happy to hear from you.

MESSAGE

We assist with funeral services, including natural burial scattering. Our business aims to grieve the death of the deceased and provide comfort to bereaved families, while remaining unconstrained by formalities and in harmony with nature. Funeral practices have evolved over time, with different beliefs and religions. They exist as different traditional cultures around the world. In Japan, burial was once the norm, but cremation has become more common in modern times. Even in the United States, where burial was once the norm, cremation has become more common. In India, the dead are released into the Ganges River, and sky burial is common in Tibet. Recently, entirely new styles of funeral have emerged. Ocean scattering has become popular, but fireworks cremation, rocket burials, and even space burials have also emerged. Today, funeral styles are diverse. New funeral practices unbound by old customs and practices are emerging around the world. Furthermore, in Japan, with the declining population, the number of people closing their graves and Buddhist altars seems to be accelerating. We offer a nature-themed funeral approach. "When we die, we return to the earth" - we propose funeral methods that keep in mind that we return to the earth and become part of the earth again. The end is a beginning. We work with love and gratitude for all living things so that the earth may continue to exist in a cycle. We have eliminated the "additional fee system" that many people find unsettling, and strive for the utmost transparency in "clear accounting." We do our best to ensure that our work is not a heartless one. We are committed to meeting your requests in detail. Please feel free to contact us with any opinions or requests you may have. We aim to provide a service that makes you think, "I'm glad I chose you." We are always available for free consultations. Please feel free to contact us. Phone: 0467-40-6964

Everyone will eventually die. Facing the reality of death, we have asked ourselves how to live a meaningful life. That has meant leaving a mark on this world, developing a business that will continue for centuries to come, and providing ceremonies that will remain in the hearts of many. Mourning the dead is a part of human culture, and the desire to remember the deceased in the midst of grief is a timeless and universal sentiment. While mourning methods vary depending on the era and religious beliefs, we believe the most important thing is to first understand the pain and to offer compassion to those left behind. We treat all religions equally and do not impose any particular values. Even non-religious people experience heartache when someone passes away. Mourning is a way of expressing love and gratitude for family members. While there are things we can and cannot realistically do, we will do our best to accommodate any requests you may have. We hope you will entrust us with the most heartfelt condolences possible.
