At SANKOTSUYAMA, we offer a service for storing pulverized ashes. Our Ashes Storage Service allows you to store your ashes. This service is also available for those considering scattering but haven't yet reached a final decision, or for those unable to keep the ashes at home due to housing circumstances or family disagreements. Ashes storage fees are based on a one-year contract. We can accommodate ashes sent in an urn, but a separate fee will be charged for pulverization. For details on pulverization fees, please see [THIS PAGE]. Our Ashes Storage Service is merely a storage location, not a columbarium. However, you can extend the contract period for up to 33 years. Once your final decision is confirmed within the contract period, we will either scatter the ashes or return them to you. If you have decided to scatter the ashes, we will respond promptly. For those undecided about what to do, we offer free mail or pickup. The remains we receive will be crushed into powder and then stored. When the period expires, we will arrange for joint scattering of the ashes or collection. The displayed fee is for one year.

We will provide detailed explanations about scattering ashes, which is still uncommon. We welcome any questions or concerns you may have until you are satisfied. Please feel free to discuss any details, such as closing the grave or making pre-planning reservations. If you feel you can avoid the hassle of visiting our office, please feel free to ask us questions via email. If you are in a hurry, please submit your scattering request directly. The data you submit through the application form will not be used for any other purpose, so please feel free to provide your information. Please note that submitting the application form is a provisional request; your formal request will be finalized once payment has been confirmed. We will also ask for the name of the deceased, so please submit your request using the dedicated scattering request email form.
