Skulls symbolize the cycle of death and rebirth, and by recognizing the transience and impermanence of life, they offer an opportunity to reflect more deeply on life. Since ancient times, skulls have been seen as a motif symbolizing vitality and fertility. At the same time, they also represent a transition from death to a new beginning, and as a symbol of resurrection and rebirth, they inspire hope and courage. Skulls have long been used as amulets and talismans in Europe. They remain popular today as they are believed to ward off evil spirits and provide protection. They remain a perennially popular fashion accessory, particularly popular among bikers, rock musicians, and artists. Skull designs come in a wide variety of styles, from gothic to modern, but at SANKOTSUYAMA, we use skulls that are as realistic as possible, rather than childish. They are large and chunky, with a design that looks like a hole has been drilled directly into the skull.

Skull rings are available in brass and 925 silver. After we receive and pulverize your ashes, we will encase a portion of them in an accessory and deliver it to you. Once it arrives, you can hold your own special memorial. When scattering the ashes, you can choose to keep a portion of the ashes in a ring instead of scattering them all.
