At SANKOTSUYAMA, we offer a life-size skull model for home memorial services. Keeping cremated remains in an urn at home is permitted by law. In Japan, the number of people closing their graves and ending their ties with temples is on the rise. This decision forces people to choose between moving the remains to a new grave, scattering them at sea or in the mountains, depositing them in a columbarium, or keeping them close at hand. Because religion and ancestral worship are completely different concepts, more and more people are choosing to keep the remains in an urn at home. However, many people feel a little uncomfortable leaving an urn in their home, as it creates too much of a presence. After all, cremated remains should naturally exist in our daily lives, and certainly should not be treated as something to be shunned. So, why not create a more stylish, lifestyle-friendly option for home memorial services? We offer a life-size skull model for home memorial services that complements interior decor. It's made by mixing crushed remains with plaster and molding them. Once you send us your ashes, we will crush them into powder and place them in a container before sending them to you. This way, you can keep a portion of your ashes in your room and enjoy them forever. The cost of crushing the ashes is not included, so it will be charged separately. Once you send us your ashes via Yu-Pack from the post office, it will take approximately 1-2 months to complete the creation. Once completed, we will send you a life-size skull model object. |
