At SANKOTSUYAMA, we offer a personal memorial service using a potted plant. This is also known as a "plant funeral," "planter funeral," or "potted plant funeral." This funeral method involves converting the ashes of a pet to ashes and burying them at the base of a potted plant, allowing the plant to grow while you watch over it. While pets can be buried in a planter, it's important to understand that it takes a long time for the body to return to the soil, and that this process can lead to issues such as a decaying odor and the infestation of insects, making it vulnerable to digging up by crows and other animals. For humans, scattering the ashes is not only prohibited by law, but eliminates these concerns. While it seems common these days to treat the dead as something to be shunned and removed from our daily lives, death should be a natural part of everyday life. That said, leaving an urn in the room can be a bit of a nuisance. So, why not choose something more stylish to complement your lifestyle? Therefore, as part of our "Home Memorial Service that Matches Your Interior" initiative, we offer a "Home Memorial Service with a Potted Plant." Once you send us your ashes, we will crush them and mix them into soil to create a potting mix. We then add a decorative plant to complete the service. Please choose your preferred plant from several varieties. If you choose a potted plant, you can place a portion of the ashes in the room and enjoy their company for years to come. If the ashes have not been crushed, this service does not include the cost of "Crushing the Ashes" and will be charged separately. After submitting the application form, please send the ashes via Yu-Pack from the post office.

We will provide detailed explanations about scattering ashes, which is still uncommon. We welcome any questions or concerns you may have until you are satisfied. Please feel free to discuss any details, such as closing the grave or making pre-planning reservations. If you feel you can avoid the hassle of visiting our office, please feel free to ask us questions via email. If you are in a hurry, please submit your scattering request directly. The data you submit through the application form will not be used for any other purpose, so please feel free to provide your information. Please note that submitting the application form is a provisional request; your formal request will be finalized once payment has been confirmed. We will also ask for the name of the deceased, so please submit your request using the dedicated scattering request email form.
